SEASONAL FRONT GATE SUPERVISOR

  Joining the Typhoon Texas Front Gate team as a supervisor is the ultimate summer season pass! What better than gaining real-world work experience, developing skills applicable in the workforce, and making new friends along the way? As a Front Gate Supervisor, it will be your job to lead and teach a large number of individuals to help them gain and develop new skills while challenging yourself in order to assist the thousands of guests that work through our gates every day. Our Front Gate Supervisors work hard to give guidance to their team and are constantly trying to find new ways to improve the guest experience while keeping Typhoon Texas Safe, Clean, and Fun! 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Schedules leads and adjusts schedules as needed. 

• Handles tense/escalated guests concerns in order to de-intensify the situation and allow the guest to express their concerns. Listens, accommodates and acts in order to ensure that every guest has the best possible experience that makes them want to come back. 

• Responds to Guest questions and/or concerns in a quick and efficient manner. This includes responding to any inquiries made by a Guest, this may include (but is not limited) to voicemail and email correspondence. 

• Attends morning meeting every day when needed and relays important information to park Supervisors, Managers, and Directors regarding the daily operation of Front Gate. Gathers and relays morning meeting information to leads and team members as appropriate. 

• Works with leads in order to ensure all Front Gate positions are covered during morning huddle and at shift change. In addition, may assist in the operation of other departments as needed. This may require changing team member positions to cover enough positions for both departments. 

• Monitors guest entry in the morning and guest departure at night to ensure a safe and swift entry and departure. Greats and says goodbye to every guest while working to upsell items such as lockers or season pass upgrades. 

• Reports suspicious activity to Security Manager and appropriate personnel. 

• Assists team members in all positions as needed during rush times in order to allow for guests to enter the park in an efficient manner. 

• Oversees Front Gate operations and uses the information gathered to plan and execute operational improvements for the guest and team member experience. This includes overseeing each position individually to ensure all policies and procedures are being followed along with planning and implementing changes to improve productivity and efficiency. 

• Ensures that the entry gate, exit gate, entry plaza, admin, guest relations, and surroundings are cleaned and organized throughout the day. 

• Verifies and approves Leadership timecards and payroll. Assists in verifying and approving team member timecards and payroll as needed. Timecards must be approved on a daily basis. 

• Attends meetings with the Front Gate Manager, and Director of Revenue to review Front Gate operations, expenses, and customer service in order to make changes towards improvement. 

• Controls expenses by ensuring that the labor budget is being followed. Makes adjusts throughout the day to ensure the budget is being followed. 

• Works with leads to ensure proper inventory of bands, season pass books, supplies, etc. When inventory is low, meets with the appropriate personnel to order more supplies. 

• Interviews, hires and trains Front Gate Leadership. Assists in interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members as needed. 

• Encourages sales and incentives to team members. Verifies, rewards, and praises team members who meet sales goals. 

• Enforces Typhoon Texas policies and procedures. This will require observing and recording disciplinary offenses of team members and leads and taking disciplinary action if needed. 

• Reviews receipts, reports, and/or video cameras when there is a large variance in team member tills. Communicates and reports findings to Cash Control and other personnel if necessary.
