Front Office Administrator - Pediatric Dental Practice

We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Front Office Administrator to be the welcoming face of our pediatric dental practice. As the first person families and children encounter upon entering our office, you will play a vital role in creating a warm, positive, and professional environment. Your personable nature and ability to connect with children and families will help ensure a smooth and pleasant experience for all patients. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and their families with warmth, professionalism, and enthusiasm. 
  • Check patients in and out efficiently while ensuring all information is accurate and up to date. 
  • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and schedule or reschedule appointments. 
  • Verify dental insurance benefits and maintain accurate insurance documentation. 
  • Collect patient payments and assist with financial transactions as needed. 
  • Maintain accurate patient records and perform data entry in the practice management system. 
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment. 
  • Work closely with the clinical team to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for working with children and families. 
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new software quickly. 
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. 
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous front office or administrative experience, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting. 
  • Experience using Open Dental practice management software. 
  • Knowledge of dental insurance verification and billing procedures. 
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
