Aston Carter is seeking an eager Front Office Administrator for one of the nation's premier event marketing organizations and non-profits in Norfolk, VA! This is a great "foot in the door opportunity" that allows high involvement in the community!
Description:
Traditional receptionist duties, including but not limited to: managing a multiple-line incoming phone system, faxing, e-mailing, copying and interacting with the both scheduled and unscheduled visitors to the office.
Working with the public in a customer service role including, but not limited to: assisting the public with questions related to company-produced events, non-company produced events and general entertainment in the area and tourism activities.
Interacting on the phone, through e-mail and in person with company stakeholders such as City of Norfolk management & staff, political figures, business leaders, board members and media.
Oversight of the front office & lobby area- organizing and displaying advertising print materials, accepting deliveries and managing the mail system.
First impression for all public information.
Non-traditional duties, include but are not limited to: management of money, tickets, order forms, etc. pertaining to event ticket sales.
Support the event staff and business office which may include some walking/driving deliveries.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Knowledge of Norfolk and the Hampton Roads market is a PLUS
Comfortable with Microsoft Word and Excel
Must showcase Positive Attitude, Team Spirit & Service-oriented Mindset
Must be able to fulfill physical duties such as the ability to climb internal stairways and walk up to six city blocks
