BHMG Rheumatology – Alabaster, AL
Location: 1010 1st St N, Suite 210, Alabaster, AL 35007
Schedule: Mon–Thur 7:00 AM–5:00 PM | Fridays Off!

BHMG Rheumatology in Alabaster is looking for a Sr. Front Office Assistant who will be the welcoming face of our clinic.

 

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, loves connecting with people, and can juggle several responsibilities with confidence and professionalism.

Responsibilities






✨ What You’ll Do

 

In this highly visible, fast‑moving role, you’ll handle a wide range of front-office responsibilities, including:

  • Greeting every patient with warmth and professionalism — you are the first impression!
  • Managing multiple phone lines while assisting patients at the front desk
  • Checking patients in/out, collecting co-pays and account balances
  • Verifying insurance and ensuring all required paperwork is scanned into the EHR
  • Assisting patients with signing up for the patient portal
  • Clearing and organizing incoming faxes
  • Calling referrals to schedule new patient appointments
  • Supporting daily clinic flow to ensure an exceptional patient experience








Qualifications






Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of medical office experience
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Outstanding multitasking skills — this clinic moves fast!
  • Dependable, positive, and patient-focused
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • Must enjoy working with people
  • Candidates living within 30 minutes of the clinic are strongly preferred (due to local traffic)
