The Front Office Coordinator is the first point of contact with patients and is responsible for scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, making and taking phone calls, and promptly conveying all necessary information to the staff while providing an exceptional experience.
Qualified candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. The ideal Patient Care Coordinator candidate exhibits the ability to work in a fast\-paced environment and manage and anticipate workload without compromising patient care quality.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for pre\-visit, on\-site, and post\-visit patient care management tasks
Contacting patients to schedule or remind them of an upcoming appointment
Answering, making phone calls, and responding to emails
Validating patientsâ payment methods and insurance coverage
Proper and adequate documentation of patient notes in the system
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in Medical Practice or Healthcare facility as a Patient Care Coordinator, Front Office Coordinator or Receptionist.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
Exceptional time management, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proactive and organized with the ability to multitask
Ability to remain calm and think clearly under pressure, and successfully navigate or diffuse tense situations
