Job Description - Front Office Manager



Front Desk Manager– Fairfield Inn & Suites Lincoln Southeast
8455 Andermatt Drive, Lincoln, NE

Job Purpose


The Front Desk Supervisor oversees front desk operations while delivering outstanding guest service and leadership. This role ensures smooth day-to-day operations, provides training and guidance to team members, and resolves guest concerns to guarantee a consistently high level of hospitality.


Key Responsibilities




  • Lead, train, schedule, and coach the front desk team to deliver an outstanding guest experience.




  • Greet and assist guests at the desk, providing information about the property and services.




  • Monitor lobby activity, room status, and group activity, and communicate effectively with other departments.




  • Handle guest concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly.




  • Support team members by delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment.




  • Ensure compliance with cashiering, deposits, key control, and overall safety procedures.




  • Provide emergency and safety support as needed.




Skills & Qualifications




  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.




  • Experience: Previous hotel front desk experience required; supervisory experience preferred. Prior Marriott experience and knowledge of FOSSE PMS a plus.




  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).




  • Strong customer focus with the ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs.




  • Experience in cash handling, credit card transactions, and confidential information management.




  • Ability to multitask, remain composed under pressure, and resolve conflicts effectively.




  • Proficiency with property management systems, switchboards, and general office equipment.
