Front Office Receptionist

At Palm Beach Eye Center - Delray, we have an immediate opening for a full-time Front Office Receptionist for our busy and growing ophthalmology practice. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a front desk position in ophthalmology, optometry, or medical practice. Our ideal candidate should be able to multi-task, be self-motivated, be patient-oriented, and be extremely dependable. We are looking for a candidate that can interact well with patients, doctors, managers, and co-workers.

Job responsibilities include:

• Greet and check-in in patients
• Scheduling appointments
• Collecting copays
• Balancing daily payment log
• Verifying medical and vision plan insurance benefits
• Obtaining referrals
• Prepping charts
• Scanning and filing medical records
• Answering Phones
• Maintain cleanliness of the lobby area
• Accurately process end-of-day payment and insurance reconciliation
• Must be well-organized and have the ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Have excellent computer skills
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and team members.
• Must be flexible in work assignments and schedule; demonstrate commitment to ongoing education and cumulative skill mix.
• Must uphold to the highest ethical principles of maintaining confidentiality and other performance standards.
