OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated front-end engineer to join ATLARGE. As a frontend engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the engineering team and design team in all aspects of the user interface and user experience development. This role is in person and/or remote. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Below are some of the responsibilities a frontend engineer is expected to assume in their position:  

• Discussing the website vision with Website Designers and, in some cases, clients


• Evaluating wireframes and website mock-ups supplied by Website Designers.


• Building on code supplied by Back End Developers so websites look and function according to briefs.


• Identifying and applying inbuilt development functions from content management systems.


• Maintaining websites for long-term clients, making design and content changes as requested.


• Debugging the front end and reporting bugs in the back end to the engineering team.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Below are the qualifications and skills that are expected of a full-stack developer:

• Fluency in several frontend-specific coding languages including HTML, Javascript, Typescript, CSS, SASS, JQuery, Yarn, Grunt and templating languages such as Twig.


• Proficiency in operating content management and e-commerce systems including WordPress, Joomla, Shopify and Drupal.


• Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, NextJS.


• Artistic creativity for collaborating with Web Designers and clients, as required.


• Familiarity with best practices for usability, conversion optimization and accessibility.


• Diagnostic accuracy and problem-solving for debugging websites.
