Job Description - FSQ Supervisor

Legacy Turkey has a full-time, benefits eligible, career opportunity in the role of FSQ Supervisor. This role leads and supports food safety and quality efforts across the plant, ensuring products meet the highest standards for safety, compliance, and performance. You’ll partner closely with operations to drive continuous improvement and develop teams in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Implements, maintains, and assists in the documentation of changes to quality assurance monitoring programs on products, raw materials, processes, and packaging.
Assists in the implementation and maintenance of SPC, HACCP and FDA programs within assigned areas of responsibility.
Assists in the training and direction of plant hourly employees as it relates to sanitation, food safety & plant quality control.
Communicates with the appropriate operations personnel to resolve day-to-day problems.
Assures the proper handling of products and services when not meeting Legacy Turkey and regulatory requirements.
Assists in the monitoring of departmental and plant-wide goals to improve quality, maximize efficiencies, and minimize costs.
Responsible for the supervision and development of exempt and non-exempt personnel.
Leads 3rd party and customer audits.
Assumes the role of the FSQ Manager in their absence.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and take initiative in fast paced environments
Strong problem solving and decision making skills with the ability to drive results
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong focus on quality and compliance.

Preferred:

Experience in Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) leadership or supervisory role
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality, Operations, or equivalent experience
Background working with USDA, HACCP, SPC, FDA, or regulatory programs
Experience leading Audits: 3^rd Party, internal, or customer
