Performs maintenance tasks and work orders on all assigned facilities and equipment both inside and outside the facility. You will complete facilities and equipment repairs reflecting substantial variety and complexity based on expected proficiencies established through the Facilities Maintenance Structure and Program. Requires elevated skills in a minimum of one of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, material handling, and welding.
Ensure all equipment and facilities are operating effectively and efficiently in order to support all operations. Make sure all equipment meets standards, codes and regulatory requirements.
•Carry out duties in a productive manner and learn skills available through training and job shadowing. Training will be offered and is necessary to move from various levels as well as a demonstrated ability to perform the work at current level based on assessment by manager.
• Enter work into the computer maintenance system throughout work shift and use to investigate and identify repeat repairs and previous work performed on that equipment •Perform routine repairs and preventative maintenance on all equipment and systems as necessary
•Be proficient in performing preventative and predictive maintenance with little or no assistance
•Able to safely shut down systems and equipment and meets all standards, codes, and regulatory requirements
•Able to trouble shoot and perform repairs on complex systems and equipment
•Meet evaluation standards on work orders and observations by management to assess and evaluate skill level and proficiency within maintenance department
•Able to provide guidance and training to Mechanic B level individuals and support associates
•Remain proficient in maintenance trade as required and stay current with today’s technology as required and offered by training courses/classes
•Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs
•Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity
•Perform work at elevated levels in areas of safety, electrical, electronics, refrigeration, material handling, mechanical, welding, fire systems, and domestic water/waste water (where applicable)
•Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris
