 The Center for Motivation & Change has been providing compassionate, collaborative and expert evidence-based treatment for people struggling with substance problems for the last 10 years. CMC:Berkshires is our private 13-bed residential treatment center located on 200 acres in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts. Compensation: $21+/hour, commensurate with experience (non-exempt/overtime eligible)

Job Type: Full-time or Part-Time / 2-5 Shifts per week, including days, nights (out by 7:45pm!), and weekends

We are seeking a professional, kind, self-motivated individual to join our small team in a NON-RESTAURANT SETTING. We need someone who wants to work, is eager to contribute to the mission of the organization, and is looking to grow. Excellent opportunity to enhance knowledge/skills under the direction of talented chefs. Dependability, commitment to a regular schedule, and reliable transportation are absolute requirements. Must be able to execute complete, family style/buffet meals for 20-30 people. Environment is highly professional but not sterile, low pressure in a well-maintained kitchen.

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum two years experience as a cook is preferred - in restaurant, foodservice, or institutional setting

Requirements

• Proper knife skills and food preparation
• Knowledge of saute, grill, and frying
• Commitment to kitchen sanitation and safety standards (ServSafe Certification a plus)
• Must be able to lift and carry 25-50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, withstand frequent up-and-down/twisting/repetitive movements, and reach with hands/arms to handle objects, tools or controls.
