FTTH Fiber Premise Technician

We are currently looking to add a few Premise IPs to our great team of “A” players. The main responsibility of this position is to hook-up our customers to the internet; including, but not limited to, installing routers, modems and other necessary equipment. This position tends to work in customer's homes, including, but not limited to crawl spaces and attics.

This position will be reporting out to our Camilla, GA office. Required to report to office as needed for supplies and otherwise directed by manager; often reports directly to work sites.

Schedule:

• Full-time
• Shifts are typically 8 to12 hours long; beginning at 6:30am and working until your jobs are completed for the day.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed in addition to regular travel.

Travel potential:

• Regularly scheduled to work in surrounding Camilla, GA market
• When work is slower in your market, there may be an occasion that you would be asked to travel to another market location to help with the workload either in state or out of state.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Prior work-related experience is preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets the company’s minimum safety standards.
• Proficient in Internet-related applications such as email and web browsers.
• Thorough understanding of basic hand tools and power tools.
• In-depth understanding of technology-based services, products, and networking.
• Able to meet physical requirements: climb ladders, work in confined spaces and/or various heights, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs., squat, kneel, bend, crawl and stand for long periods of time.
• Able to go in any attic or small crawl space.
• Working in and around customers’ homes.
• Enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather.
• Self-starter with a positive attitude and willingness to work.
