Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain modern, responsive full-stack web applications
- Translate user flows and designs into robust, scalable code
- Collaborate with product, design, and AI/ML teams to deliver seamless user experiences
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
- Integrate front-end interfaces with backend APIs and AI/ML model serving infrastructure
- Ensure high performance, accessibility, and cross-browser/device compatibility
- Contribute to shared component libraries and internal design systems
- Define and improve development workflows, coding standards, and best practices
- Monitor and improve system performance, observability, and reliability
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a full-stack or front-end/backend engineer
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and modern frameworks (e.g., React, FastAPI, Node.js)
- Experience developing, testing, and deploying production-grade web applications
- Proficiency in HTML/CSS (including SCSS) and responsive UI development
- Experience with RESTful and/or GraphQL API design and integration
- Familiarity with front-end testing tools, animation libraries, or data visualization frameworks
- Experience working with modern CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and agile development
- Experience deploying applications in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Strong understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Nice to Have
- Experience serving large language models or working with AI/ML model inference infrastructure
- Familiarity with AI model serving frameworks such as Triton Inference Server, HuggingFace Transformers/Spaces, or Gradio
- Prior work with GPU-accelerated tools (e.g., CUDA, cuDNN, Triton)
- Experience developing tools or interfaces for scientific, medical, or biological data
- Knowledge of bioinformatics tools or biological data modalities (e.g., genomic, proteomic, single-cell)
- Contributions to open-source projects
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Understanding of FAIR data principles and reproducible research workflows
