Job Description - Full Time Center Manager Traniee



Retail Center Associate selling customer's shipping, packaging and printing needs.


Responsibilities and Duties including but NOT limited to:


. Store Operations




  • Oversee the daily operations of the UPS Store.




  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully stocked.




  • Open and or close the store according to policy.




  • Maintain compliance with corporate guidelines and safety standards.




2. Staff Management




  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise store associates.




  • Create staff schedules and manage time-off requests.




  • Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.




  • Motivate and coach employees to meet productivity and service goals.




3. Customer Service




  • Ensure high-quality customer service is delivered consistently.




  • Resolve customer complaints or issues professionally and promptly.




  • Handle escalated customer concerns.




4. Sales and Marketing




  • Drive sales and monitor performance against revenue goals.




  • Promote store services, including printing, shipping, mailbox rentals, and more.




  • Develop local marketing plans and build relationships with the community.




5. Financial and Inventory Management




  • Manage store budgets, expenses, and financial reports.




  • Monitor cash handling and ensure deposits are made correctly.




  • Maintain proper inventory levels and order supplies as needed.




6. Technical Knowledge & Compliance




  • Understand and operate shipping, printing, and POS systems.




  • Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, especially for international and hazardous shipments.




  • Stay updated on new UPS products, services, and procedures.




7. Reporting and Communication




  • Report store performance metrics to the franchise owner or corporate office.




  • Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and corporate support staff.




 



  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Retail/customer service experience

  • Good communication and people skills

  • Strong computer skills, including Email

  • Outstanding phone skills

  • Multitasking and to be a critical thinker

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Prompt, reliable, and responsible

  • Able to lift 50+ pounds

  • Ability to handle either opening or closing the store and work alone

  • Willing and able to work 30-35 hours per week with a varying schedule, weekends are a must

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: From $18.00 per hour (More for UPS Store Experience)
