Job Description - Full Time Credentialing Specialist

ImageCare Radiology is looking to hire multiple candidates with specific credentialing experience for our Mt. Olive office. The schedule we are looking to fill is Monday to Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM.



GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION


The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for enrolling healthcare providers with insurance payers and managing the application process to ensure timely reimbursement for services.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. Manage the credentialing process, verifying the credentials of healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with payor requirements and regulations.


2. Verify credentials, including education, training, board certification, licensure, malpractice insurance, , eligibility criteria, etc. to meet insurance network and regulatory requirements.


3. Keep accurate records of enrollment applications, statuses, and issues that arise during the process.


4. Review and maintain documentation of provider data in the enrollment databases, ensuring all information is current and accurate for billing and credentialing purposes.


5. Work closely with the billing department to resolve any denials or authorization issues related to provider credentialing.


6. Maintain effective communication with providers and payers to resolve enrollment issues and facilitate smooth operations, as well as notifying leadership of progress and challenges


7. Work closely with internal departments, such as Billing and Human Resources, to ensure that all onboarding and payer enrollment is up to date and claims are processed correctly.


8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


High school diploma, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; previous experience in healthcare billing, medical office, data entry, enrollment, or credentialing is a plus. Familiarity with healthcare regulations, payer contracts, and the medical billing lifecycle is essential but not required.
