Full Time Floater (Sign on hiring incentive upon hire $500 and another upon completion of 90 days)

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom staff in implementing of developmentally and culturally appropriate activities according to classroom lesson plans for small and large groups of children

• Monitor overall health and safety of children in the classroom, reporting any signs of illness, injury or abuse to the classroom teacher

• Monitor children in the classroom at all times using active supervision

• Maintain current Illinois Gateways Registry membership

• Maintain five hours of Gateways approved trainings per program year

• Participate in 20 hours of professional development per program year

• Attend monthly all staff meetings, agency meetings and in-service trainings as required

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education

• Bilingual/bicultural Spanish preferred

• Gateways Early Childhood Education credential level 4

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

• Demonstrates the following qualities: self-motivated, self-directed, reliable and flexible
