Full -time Orthopedic Physician Assistant - Vassar Brothers Medical Center (75 minutes north of New York City) 

The Orthopedic Surgery Service at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, proudly joining Northwell, is seeking to add a board-certified full-time Physician Assistant to join its team.  The position will be primarily inpatient with possible coverage in the outpatient clinic.  Responsibilities include OR coverage as well as management of admissions, consults, floor rounds, post-op management and discharge of patients.  

This position is for four 10-hour shifts per week with one weekday call per week and one weekend call from home.  There is an extensive onboarding and training period as well as a supportive environment for collaboration and learning. 

Qualifications 
•    The qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and be NCCPA certified as well as possess strong surgical and patient management experience. 
•    Candidates with at least one to three years of surgical experience and/or surgical residency trained candidates preferred, but new graduates will be considered as will new nurse practitioners with RNF certification and surgical experience.
