Schedule:
Monday-Friday 9:30am-6:00pm.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Precertification Administrative Support Representative to join our dynamic team at our Hackettstown location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls related to pre-certification and insurance verification inquiries, perform insurance verifications, assist with authorization inquiries, and help with resolving pre-certification issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding prior authorizations and insurance verification.
Assist patients in performing facility changes on their authorizations.
Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to obtain or verify insurance information
Assist other departments with insurance verifications and authorization changes (CPT Code or Facility changes).
Contact insurance carriers to verify the patient’s insurance benefits and requirements specific to the requested radiology procedures
Identify errors or discrepancies in insurance information and prior authorizations and resolve them promptly, working closely with other internal departments.
Follow up on outstanding issues and provide timely updates to all parties involved.
Accurately input and update insurance and authorization information into the system.
Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
Maintain a level of productivity suitable for the department
Deliver exceptional customer service by being courteous, empathetic, and patient in all interactions.
Handle high-volume calls in a professional manner, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Degree
Prior experience in a medical setting a plus, but not required
Strong technical skills
Medically knowledgeable and willing to learn
Positive and friendly disposition
Organized and patient-oriented
Handles patients with care and compassion
Strong follow-up skills
Works well in a team environment
The ability to work well under pressure

Experience:
Prior experience in a medical setting a plus, but not required
