We are looking for an enthusiastic (full time substitute teacher) kindergarten teacher to foster and facilitate the intellectual, social and spiritual development of our students. Teacher will also be responsible for teaching a biblical worldview. This applicant will implement lessons and teach children with patience, creativity, and the love of God. Our teacher will demonstrate a mature and vibrant relationship with God and be dedicated to the philosophy of Christian education.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in elementary education is required with certification.

2. Superior communication and people skills.


3. Personality traits that allow for a positive relational connection with children, parents and staff.


4. Organizational skills and flexibility as well as the ability to handle change and multiple taskings.


5. A mature relationship with Jesus Christ and evidence of a Biblical lifestyle.

Essential Skills:

1. Passion for Christian education and the ability to inspire young learners.


2. Love for school aged children and understanding of their unique social, physiological, emotional, cognitive, psychological and spiritual needs.


3. Experience with and skill in learning and teaching modalities including various instructional technologies and strategies.


4. Desire to work in the context of a Christian professional learning community.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing lesson plans based on curriculum tied to student outcomes and standards.


2. Serve as a member of a professional learning community.


3. Function as a member of the Elementary Education instructional team.


4. Build fruitful and mentoring relationships with parents as well as students and staff.


5. Serve as instructor of Abeka and Purposeful Design curriculum and prepare learners for 1st grade.


6. Create a classroom conducive to learning and appropriate to student age and abilities.


7. Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment.


8. Establish classroom routines and procedures in which assigned.


9. Maintain a professional appearance as an example to students.


10. Maintain rules of conduct which encourage self-discipline and responsibility.


11. Communicates effectively with parents

    Salary Based on Experience

Candidates will need to secure Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 clearances (Clearance Information). Must have a valid PA driver's license and a clean driving record.
