Boot Factory Outlet has a great opportunity for you! As a Cashier, you will play a critical customer service role by providing our guests with a fast, friendly and accurate check out experience.

We offer a flexible schedule, one weekend off per month, benefits, and a free pair of boots!!

Essential Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs, but will not violate light duty orders.

• Accurately operate a register/POS and handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Adhere to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.
• Answer customer questions and provide a professional experience for customers.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during service and at the end of shift.
• You’ll also help with keeping the store neat and looking its best, returning items to shelves and keeping the store clean and tidy.

Requirements

Essential Physical Requirements: (Lifting up to 5 pounds, limited bending and stooping, no climbing, limited reaching, and standing/walking/sitting as needed during shift) 

• Ability to communicate with associates and guests. 
• Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete all documentation. 
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area. 
• Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store. 
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time wearing western boots.

Essential Qualifications:

• Previous retail or customer service experience. 
• Previous cash handling experience preferred. 
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as company manual.
• Ability to interact with customers. Strong communication skills are a must. 
• Must be able to work with minimum amount of supervision under stressful conditions.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
