Location: Inpatient Program - Saranac Lake, NY 

Position: Full-time Accounts Payable Specialist

Shift/schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay Range: $16.00/hour to $23.00/hour

Position Summary: Responsible for day-to-day accounts payable and properly recording necessary transactions into the general ledger.

Education and Training: Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications and Requirements: Two to three years’ experience in applicable field, working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Essential Duties:

• Accounts Payable oversight:
  
  
  
  • Enter all invoice processing slips for the agency into the financial system to disburse payments to vendors.
  
  
  • Assists others across the Agency with coding transactions appropriately within the general ledger.
  
  
  • Ensure invoice processing slips are properly executed.
  
  
  
  


• Prepares weekly cash requirements for review by the Senior Director of Finance to help ensure timely payments to vendors.


• Prepares end of year 1099 forms.


• Produces ad hoc reports and analyses to present answers to financial questions from management.


• Prepares schedules necessary to complete the annual audit and assists auditors during this process.


• Maintain the petty cash account used by the agency.


• Other duties as assigned.
