Sunbelt Staffing, a nationwide healthcare staffing agency, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract position inWentzville, MO.The successful candidate will join our client, a leading nationwide home health agency, and provide quality patient care in a home-based setting.
Contract Details:
- Location: Wentzville, MO
- Company: Sunbelt Staffing
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks (with possible extension upon successful start and completion)
- Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional weekends and on-call duty (typically one weekend per month on-call)
- Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience and territory budget
- Mileage Reimbursement: 0.48c per mile from patient home to home
- Blended Pay Packages: Available for travelers
- Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401k match after 90 days
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document them in compliance with hospice care standards.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans focusing on pain management, comfort, and emotional support.
- Administer medications and monitor vital signs, ensuring comfort and quality of life for hospice patients.
- Provide support and guidance to patients' families, educating them about the hospice process and offering emotional support.
- Maintain accurate patient records in Homecare Homebase (HCHB), ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Travel to patient homes within the Wentzville, MO area using reliable transportation.
- Collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Adhere to Joint Commission standards and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri.
- Minimum of 1 year of home health experience.
- Minimum of 6 months of hospice experience preferred.
- Proficiency in OASIS and Homecare Homebase (HCHB).
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Reliable transportation with valid driver's license.
- Ability to meet Joint Commission onboarding standards upon offer.
