Job Title: Full-Time Experienced Cook
Job Summary:
Grand Villa of Sarasota is seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen, preparing meals, and ensuring that all food is of the highest quality. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen and supervising kitchen staff
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure that all food is of the highest quality and meets food safety standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Train and mentor kitchen staff
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working order
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Weekend availability
