Support individuals in developing independent living skills through one-on-one services.
Support individuals with mental health management by identifying and practicing coping skills and alternative strategies.
Teach and model community integration skills, including self-managing medications, managing personal finances, appropriate interpersonal interactions, navigating public transportation, completing tasks necessary to maintain a home, and accessing community resources.
Interact informally with individuals to facilitate socialization and appropriate behavior.
Participate in scheduled and spontaneous recreational activities.
Teach healthy living habits and assist individuals in developing the skills to maintain them.
High School Diploma or GED and relevant experience OR a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check.
Ability to pass the BCA Criminal Background Check and Sexual Exploitation of Patients by Psychotherapists screening required by DHS.
Ability to pass screening required by the federal Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General.
Ability to organize and work independently.
Willingness to travel within the Metro Area, with applicable mileage reimbursement, and possession of a current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and personal vehicle with insurance; must be able to transport clients in that vehicle.
Possess a person-centered approach consistent with the philosophy of the individual program and RTI.
Ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.
Perform other duties as needed as the company and role expand or evolve.
Bachelor’s degree in one of the behavioral sciences fields OR 2,000 hours of supervised experience providing clinical services in mental health or children’s emotional care.
