Full-Time Music School Administrator-- Chicago (Norwood Park), IL

Job Description

Flatts and Sharpe Music Co. islooking for a friendly, organized, and dependable staff member to join our team as an Administrative Coordinator at our Norwood Park location. This person will serve as a key point of contact for our students, families, and teachers — helping to keep lessons running smoothly, assisting with scheduling and communication, and supporting the overall day-to-day operations of the school.

Schedule:

• Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Monday–Thursday: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Average of 34–38 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome students and families as they arrive for lessons
• Ensure teachers remain on schedule throughout the day
• Answer phone calls and emails related to scheduling and school inquiries
• Work closely with teachers to manage their student schedules
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, organizing, and updating records
• Assist with organizing events and school programs
• Help manage and create content for our social media platforms
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of our school facilities

• Friendly, professional, and reliable
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• A great communicator, both in person and over email/phone
• A motivated self-starter who can manage tasks independently
• Passionate about creating a positive, community-centered environment
• Familiar with music retail — from beginner instruments to the accessories every player needs, no matter their level of proficiency
• Interest in music or music education is a plus

Pay will be in the range of $15-$18 per hour and will be commensurate with experience. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.
