Summary:
A bit about us: We’re a warm, communicative family in Seattle preparing to welcome a full-time nanny into our lives this fall. Our littlest one will be about four months old when care begins, and your primary focus will be on his day-to-day needs and developmental support. Our toddler attends school full time, but she’ll need after school pick up and occasionally full-day care when her school is closed. We’re an outdoorsy, curious, and collaborative family who values proactive communication and a team-minded approach. We hope to find someone who’s as nurturing and thoughtful as they are engaging and confident.

A bit about you: You’re an experienced, loving caregiver with a deep understanding of infant development and a knack for creating enriching, age-appropriate activities. You’re confident in introducing solid foods and navigating developmental milestones with care and expertise. You value open, two-way communication and are eager to work in partnership with parents. Bonus points if you have a background in early childhood education or certifications related to child development. You enjoy nature walks, sensory play, and engaging toddlers with imagination and warmth.

Job Duties: Your day will begin around 8:30 am with infant care, feeding, engaging play, naps, and light household tasks such as child laundry, meal prep, and cleaning up after activities. In the afternoons around 3:00 pm, you’ll pick up our toddler from school (10 minutes from home) and care for both children until 5:30 PM. Some days may include providing care for both kiddos during school closures or holidays. We would love for you to make use of our zoo and aquarium memberships and take the kids on enriching outings. Occasional interaction with our friendly family dog may be needed (e.g., letting him out into the backyard), but most days our pup goes to the office with dad.

Location: Seattle, 98103
Position Highlights: Long-term outlook. 2 weeks paid vacation (plus additional time off when family is away.) Sick leave. $100/month healthcare stipend. Opportunity to partner with a kind, communicative family.

Qualifications:

Multiple years of professional nannying experience with infants and toddlers.
Confident in safely introducing solid foods.
Up to date on TDAP, flu, COVID, and MMR Vaccines.
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for school pickups.
Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
CPR/First Aid certification.
Glowing references from recent nanny positions.

Set yourself apart:

Background or coursework in early childhood education.
Passion for outdoor play, sensory activities, baking, or gardening.
Interest in long-term growth with a family.

Schedule: M-F 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Pay: $32-38/hr
