Full-Time Overnight Dog Care Attendant 4-Day Workweek

40 Hours. Four Nights. Three Days Off Every Week.

What if full-time didn't have to mean working five days a week?

The Wags Club is an established cage-free dog daycare and boarding facility serving Santa Monica and West Los Angeles, and we're looking for dependable Overnight Dog Care Attendants.

Our full-time overnight schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts, from 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

That's 40 hours of work in four shifts — and three days off each week.

If you like the idea of a compressed workweek and don't mind working while most of Los Angeles is asleep, this may be exactly the schedule you've been looking for.

What Happens at The Wags Club Overnight?

Our daycare clients go home.

Our boarding dogs don't.

The overnight team is responsible for keeping them safe, comfortable, and properly cared for until the morning team arrives.

You'll:

• Supervise dogs throughout the night
• Monitor health, behavior, and comfort
• Feed meals and administer medications according to instructions
• Clean and sanitize dog areas
• Handle laundry and routine facility cleaning
• Keep sleeping areas comfortable and orderly
• Prepare the facility for the next day's operation
• Communicate anything unusual or concerning to management

A Quieter Shift. Not an Easier Standard.

Overnight doesn't have the client traffic and constant activity of daytime dog daycare.

That means you'll have more independence.

It also means we need someone who doesn't require a manager standing nearby to stay productive.

You'll be trusted to know your responsibilities, manage your time, notice when something needs attention, and make sure the morning team walks into a facility that's ready for the day.

Who We're Looking For

You may already have experience in dog daycare, boarding, veterinary care, pet sitting, grooming, shelters, or another animal-care environment.

Or you may simply be a dependable person who likes dogs and prefers working nights.

Either way, you should be:

• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working overnight
• Comfortable with dogs of every breed and size
• Able to work independently
• Detail-oriented
• Self-motivated
• Comfortable with cleaning and physical work
• Able to follow feeding and medication instructions carefully

Animal-care experience is a plus, but we'll train the right person.

Pay & Perks

$18.50–$20.00 per hour

Full-time schedule: four 10-hour overnight shifts / 40 hours per week
