Full-Time PCA/Life Enrichment Aide

Homestead Village is a thriving non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside vibrant Downtown Lancaster. We are seeking highly caring, enthusiastic, & passionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) who enjoy Life Enrichment Activities to join our compassionate community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our Residents! 

Location:

• Westvue; PC Memory Support; 2 households - 13 residents per household (26 residents total)

Base Pay: Determined based upon years of experience, starting rate with no experience or med tech certification is $15.75; plus, applicable shift & weekend differentials.

Schedule:

Shift/Weekend Differentials:

• $1.50 additional from 3:00pm-11:00pm


• $0.75 additional from 11:00pm-7:00am


• $1.25 additional on Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED


• Experience with Life Enrichment


• CPR/1st Aid/AED certified or ability to become certified. 


• Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff. 


• Able to perform the essential job functions of the job description. 


• Demonstrate flexibility. 


• Satisfactory completion of the Personal Care Home Direct Care Staff Person Training Program

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Establish respectful, warm relationships with residents. 


• Assist resident with all activities of daily living as needed. 


• Participate in development of residents' Support Plan. 


• Facilitate recreational/life enhancement activities.


• Facilitate dining/light meal preparations.


• Collect data such as vital signs, as indicated. 


• Housekeeping and laundry, as needed and assigned. 


• Observe client and immediately report changes in condition to Supervisor.


• Attend all required staff meetings and complete monthly education on Relias by dates due. 


• Adhere to all PCH policies and procedures, federal, state, and local regulations, and OSHA safety standards. 


• Document interventions, activities, observations, etc.


• Perform other duties as assigned.
