Requirements:

• All state licensure and certifications required for Physical Therapist practice in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a related setting is preferred.

Job Description: The Physical Therapist will work within a special education setting, providing essential services to students with diverse needs. Responsibilities include:

1. Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' motor skills, mobility, and functional abilities.
2. Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized treatment plans and goals.
3. Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to improve students' physical functioning and independence.
4. Providing direct physical therapy services to students in both individual and group settings.
5. Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
6. Utilizing assistive devices and adaptive equipment to support students' access and participation in educational activities.
7. Documenting evaluation results, treatment plans, progress notes, and communication with stakeholders in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
8. Participating in IEP meetings and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and support for students.
9. Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in physical therapy and special education.
10. Upholding ethical and professional standards in all interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
