GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Full-Time Teller will be primarily responsible for assisting customers in their day-to-day transactions, maintaining a cash drawer, closing bank as necessary and answering the telephone in a courteous and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:
1. Provide excellent customer service at all times.
2. Handle deposits, withdrawals, cashier checks, and credit card advances. This duty is performed daily.
3. Maintain customer savings passbooks. This duty is performed irregularly.
4. Balance and maintain cash drawer. This duty is performed daily.
5. Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned. This duty is performed daily.
6. Close checking and savings accounts as necessary. This duty is performed weekly.
7. Transfer funds. This duty is performed daily.
8. Process night deposits. This duty is performed daily.
9. Answer telephone in a courteous manner. This duty is performed daily.
10. Accept loan/ mortgage payments. This duty is performed daily.
11. Stock and order desk/teller supplies as needed. This duty is performed daily.
12. Scan and balance daily teller work. This duty is performed daily.
13. Release of instant issue debit cards to customers. This duty is performed daily,
14. Process savings bonds being cashed in. This duty is performed irregularly.
15. Fill out CTRs as required. This duty is performed irregularly.
16. Fill and balance ATM Machine. This duty is performed weekly.
17. Process teller transactions to/from vault and balance. This duty is performed daily.
18. Order/Sell vault cash to main bank and verify. This duty is performed weekly.
19. Perform end-of-day recap. This duty is performed daily.
20. Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS and WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Teller may occasionally lift, move, push or pull up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This is an indoor position and the noise level in the work area is usually moderate.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
High school degree or GED equivalent; emphasis on office skills; preferred 12-18 months of related cash-handling experience.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
This position reports directly to the Vice President/Branch Manager/Compliance Officer of Chillicothe Branch. The Vice President/Branch Manager/Compliance Officer of Chillicothe Branch reports to the Wichita Falls Market President & CFO, who reports to the President/CEO of American National Bank & Trust.
