Full-Time Weekend Respite House Managers - Tucson AZ

We are looking for a dedicated Weekend House Manager in Mesa, AZ each weekend to provide compassionate, structured, and trauma-informed care to youth with behavioral health challenges in a respite home environment. This full-time weekend position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives while traveling and working on-site to support emotional regulation, daily routines, crisis intervention, and skill-building.

Schedule & Commitment:

• Full-time weekend position (Friday-Sunday), must remain on-site.
• Consistent weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct supervision and care to youth in a respite home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Apply trauma-informed care and behavioral interventions to help children manage emotions, resolve conflicts, and develop coping strategies.
• Model and reinforce positive behaviors through consistency and structure.
• Facilitate daily routines, including meals, activities, personal care, and bedtime.
• Manage crisis situations using de-escalation techniques and established protocols.
• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure continuity of care and support.
• Maintain accurate documentation of behaviors, interventions, and progress.
• Assist youth in developing social and life skills through structured activities.
• Demonstrate patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children facing emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Maintain professional boundaries while fostering supportive relationships with youth.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience working with children with behavioral or mental health needs (preferred).
• Strong de-escalation skills in high-stress situations.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and empathetic when managing challenging behaviors.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, behavior intervention techniques, and emotional regulation strategies.
• High level of dependability, integrity, and self-awareness in ensuring ethical care.
• Ability to maintain structure while adapting to the needs of the youth.
• Cultural competency and a non-judgmental approach to working with diverse populations.

referred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in behavioral health, residential care, respite services, or youth support roles.
• Training in de-escalation techniques.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card (clean background).
• Clean driving record.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $45,000 annually
