Job Summary: Cole Engineering Services is seeking a highly motivated candidate to support software development and test activities for an emerging simulation and training capability for the United States Army. The candidate will provide subject matter expertise to the simulation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).
Essential Job Functions: Lend UAS subject matter expertise to the development of a UAS collective training simulation. Develop test plans and procedures for the testing of UAS simulations. Effectively communicate with a variety of software development teams regarding UAS simulation and training requirements. Effectively communicate deficiencies in UAS simulations using computer-based defect tracking tools. Supports technical documentation compiling, writing, editing, and or coordination as required. Participate as a UAS operator as part of large-scale exercises. Train others in the use of UAS systems. Knowledge in any of the following areas would be considered a plus: Experience with the following software/hardware development, collaboration tools, and process. (JIRA, Confluence, Agile/Scrum). General knowledge of both military and civilian aviation. Required Education/Experience: Training and experience as a MQ-1C Gray Eagle UAS Operator Minimum 500 flight hours operating the Gray Eagle MQ-1C UAS Training and experience as a RQ-7B Shadow UAS Operator Team player Agile mindset Other Requirements: Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a secret security clearance. Travel may be required. This is an in-office position with ability for intermittent remote work.
