Job Description - Funding Manager - White River Financial Services

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Funding Manager supports White River Financial Services by serving as the primary liaison between Accounting, WRFS, and Retail Business Administrators. This role is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant funding processes across retail locations while driving consistency, communication, and process improvement. The Funding Manager plays a critical role in supporting sales operations, financial controls, and customer experience by overseeing funding execution and issue resolution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages the end-to-end funding process for retail finance transactions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company and lender requirements.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between WRFS, Accounting, and Retail Business Administrators to resolve funding discrepancies, delays, and exceptions.
  • Collaborates with Accounting to ensure proper reconciliation, posting, and reporting of funded deals and related financial activity.
  • Develops and maintains standardized funding procedures, controls, and documentation to ensure consistency across retail locations.
  • Provides guidance and training to Retail Business Administrators on funding requirements, best practices, and process updates.
  • Monitors and analyzes funding performance metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partners with leadership to support audits, compliance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives related to finance and insurance operations.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required:    Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred Degree:  Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (if applicable)
  • Certificate(s) or License(s): None required; finance, accounting, or insurance-related certifications preferred.
  • Years of experience:  5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, retail operations, or financial services, with demonstrated experience in funding or transactional support.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Strong working knowledge of retail finance, funding processes, and accounting principles.
  • Ability to act as an effective liaison across multiple functional teams and retail locations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with financial systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and ensure compliance.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: (Provide travel expectations for this role)

  • Occasional travel to retail locations, meetings, or training sessions as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Select the options that best apply)

Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result. Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices. Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures, and practices.
