Funeral Director Apprentice

Brainard Funeral Home and Cremation Center and Helke Funeral and Cremation Services is in our Wausau, Wisconsin community and we are adding a Funeral Director Apprentice to our team. Our Funeral Director Interns assist with both arrangements and embalming while upholding our mission of honoring lives and enriching caregivers. Our Funeral Director Apprentices quickly adapt to the needs of individual families by presenting personalized, meaningful, and creative ideas to help honor and celebrate each life lived.

What you will do:  

• Assist licensed funeral directors in making funeral arrangements and removal of decedents from place of death. 

• This position will interact with families during their time of need. 

• Create a meaningful experience.  

• Assist licensed funeral director in the prep room. 

• Gain crucial knowledge, as you serve families in your community. 

Experience you need to bring:  

• Must have State of WI Funeral Director Apprentice License  

• Proficient within technology  

• Clean driving record  

• Strong people skills and customer service skills
