Job Schedule: 2nd Shift, 5/8 - 8 hour days Monday-Friday



The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris Technologies is currently seeking a Gage Inspector A/B/C to join the operations team at our Jupiter, FL location.



Essential Functions:

100%- Perform a variety of duties to ensure gage and calibration of tools utilized to ensure development and production of rocket engine components, sub-assemblies, and related hardware meet quality guidelines.

Duties may include:

Plan operations ,setup work, and select methods to perform inspection or calibration functions.


Inspect and calibrate gages, fixtures, and test equipment, including to assess for damage, wear and servicablility.


Utilize tools such as micro-hite, rotary tables, optical comparators, sine bars, and other precision measuring equipment to perform close tolerance inspection operations.


Calibrate and inspect electro-limit and air gages, hardness testers, contour readers, profile-meters, torque calibration systems, laser interferometers, electronic level, autocollimator, and other applicable precision measuring instruments.


Recognize and disposition non-conforming material in accordance with requirements.


Maintain and review history records, maintenance and gage schedules, preventive maintenance data, systems, logs, and prepare reports as required.


Comply with the correct operation, care, use and maintenance of equipment, housekeeping, and safe work practices.


Conduct audits when required and report findings.


Actively engage in Continuous Improvement Processes, have a working knowledge of lean principles, and identify improvements as they apply to current working environment.





Required Qualifications:

Requires 0-5 years of directly related experience. High school diploma or equivalent is required. 2-3 years trade school highly desirable. Prior experience in the Aerospace industry is a plus.

Understanding of GD&T


Strong working knowledge of Excel


Experience in / Understanding of electronics / electronic systems


Experience in / Understanding of pressure systems


Experience with / strong understanding of AS9100 Calibration Standards


Experience with / strong understanding of IS17025 Calibration Standards


Must possess computer skills necessary to participate in compiling weekly calibration measures and distribute near term out of date calibration assets to tool owners.





The level at which the successful candidate will be employed is dependent on the skills, experience and knowledge they possess. (Position level will be filled based on education and experience of identified candidate.)
