The ideal team member will operate independently within a cross-functional team and systematically track gaging to ensure calibration frequency aligns with our quality system. They will coordinate with outside service providers to ensure timely gaging processes. Participation in training for effective use of gage blocks, setting indicators, and depth mics is essential. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to enhance their communication skills. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

· Track the need and frequency of gaging that requires inspection.

· Inspect gaging in a timely basis. Be aware some gaging may be employee owned.

· Ensure the timely return of gaging to machinist.

· Track and monitor gages that are sent out for inspection.

· Request gages from Acutec customers when required.

· Frequently required to clean gaging before returning to inventory or sending out to floor.

· Ensure we have correct gages for upcoming jobs.

· Occasionally required to search and find gages that are lost / missing.

· Maintain and distribute an Out of Tolerance report and advise employees of personal gaging that is approaching an unacceptable condition.

· Fulfill all gage requests for production jobs and assist inspection with gaging needs.

· Order new gaging as instructed for new jobs r to replace existing gaging 

· Maintain a professional demeanor in all situations

· Actively participate in trainings for ongoing career development

· Other duties as assigned

· Cleans, inspects and calibrates gauging properly and delivers it in a timely manner

· Maintains required reports and updates regularly

Education & Experience Requirements:

o Requires a high school diploma and experience of a previous tooling background.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

o The employee must possess exceptional math comprehension and alternate problem solving skills.
