Job Purpose: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the job | |
Conduct cash and charge transactions for the employee cafeteria in an efficient manner. | |
Job Responsibilities: Maximum of ten responsibilities, in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job’s time. Please include supervisory responsibilities. | |
1. | Conduct cash and charge transactions for the employee Cafeteria. Receive payment by cash, credit card or employee ID. |
2. | Issue receipts and change due to employees. |
3. | Maintain an accurate cash bank and prepare balance reports at the end of each shift. Follow all cash handling procedures. |
4. | Ensure that an adequate supply of change is on hand at all times.

5. | Determine the prices of food items and tabulate bills using cash registers.
|
6. | Maintain a clean and orderly check out area.
|
7. | Perform opening and closing duties as required.
|
8. | Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications: Describe the minimum qualifications needed to complete the job responsibilities. | |
Education | High school diploma or equivalent preferred. |
Experience | Minimum of six months cash handling experience preferred. Good communication skills required. Familiarity with cash registers, calculators or adding machines preferred. |
