Gallery Concierge

M.S. Rau is looking for a Gallery Concierge to greet guests entering the gallery, provide directions and information and answer telephone calls. Who You Are:

You have a strong work ethic, a desire to learn and positive attitude. The expertise you will bring includes:

• Greeting all guests pleasantly and with courtesy, providing guests with directions, and providing information about the gallery.
• Responding to inquiries from guests either in person or on the telephone and escalating sales questions to appropriate sales staff.
• Providing guests with handouts on gallery information and maintaining a neat and clean work area at all times.
• Providing an optimal level of customer services and maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Completing projects as requested.

What We Offer:

Compensation and Hours

This is an hourly position that can be full-time/40 hours per week or part-time/32 hours per week with compensation of $16-18/hour depending on experience as well as the potential to earn quarterly and annual bonuses. This position typically works Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. with a 30-minute meal break. There may be a need for overtime hours – rotating Saturdays required.

Work Environment

This is primarily a sedentary office position with employees working in a controlled office environment. The employee answers telephone calls and occasionally bends, reaches and pushes and pulls file drawers to file records and reports. Moves within the building to collect, deliver and copy documents. The position uses a computer terminal to access input and retrieve data. Finger dexterity is required to operate computer keyboard and calculator.
