POSITION SUMMARY 

The Gardens and Interiors Caretaker will provide planting, maintenance, clean up, care, and end-of-season preparation services to all outdoor plants, foliage, flower beds, and landscaped areas at Colectivo Coffee facilities. The Caretaker will additionally provide support for interior projects relating to painting, lightning, decor, upholstery and furniture as needed. 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Plant annuals, monitor perennial plants, and prepare garden beds/planters as needed seasonally.
• Maintain a set plant-care schedule.
• Visit designated facilities as assigned to water, prune, and maintain plants/landscaped areas. 
• Use a variety of plant care tools (hose, sprayers, watering cans, etc.) to provide necessary care and upkeep. 
• Assist in interior work including, but not limited to, painting, furniture installation or relocation, and decor changes. 
• Assist in afterhours interior redesign or renovation projects as needed. 
•  Perform other duties or projects as assigned. 

Requirements

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS 

• Interest and experience in horticulture and plant care. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• Valid driver license and insured vehicle. 
• Ability to navigate around the city of Madison, Milwaukee, and/or Chicago. 
• Ability to carry plant care materials, kneel and/or bend to tend to garden beds, lift furniture or planted pots weighing 10-50lbs, occasionally climb ladders and work at heights. 
• Ability to assist in projects requiring evening or weekend hours.
