Gas \u0026 Chemical Technical Facilities Engineer\n\nRequires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise. Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions. Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations. May lead functional teams or projects.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nThis is a Technical Facilities Manager position. This position is to provide technical leadership in the planning, design, configuration, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance of gas and chemical (G\u0026C) delivery equipment \u0026 systems, Gas Life Safety System (GLSS), \u0026 Pump \u0026 Abatement (P\u0026A) units.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\n * Oversee the operations, maintenance and safety of all G\u0026C delivery systems, GLSS \u0026 P\u0026A to ensure maximum uptime\n * Coordinate with 3rd party service providers to ensure proper maintenance of mechanical, electrical, fire life safety, process piping, and controls systems\n * Monitor 3rd party maintenance providers performance and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)\n * Coordinate with multiple groups (planning, construction, safety, G\u0026C service provider, building owners, management, etc.) to meet project or service request requirement and minimize system downtime and business interruptions\n * Respond to business interruptions or internal customer escalations\n * Perform problem solving, troubleshooting, root cause analysis using 8D methodology\n * Ensure that all G\u0026C, P\u0026A and GLSS systems operate to design specifications\n * Evaluate system capacities and capabilities and make improvement recommendations\n * Forecast budget spending and review supplier invoices\n * Identify and conceptually scope safety, compliance, capacity, redundancy, and cost savings projects\n * Obtain funding and manage projects per scope, schedule \u0026 budget\n * Review operation, maintenance, trouble shooting, project commissioning \u0026 acceptance, and other related documents for facilities systems; recommend and implement improvements\n * Review and approve building construction, fit-up and tool hook-up designs\n * Coordinate with 3rd party hazardous waste management service provider to ensure safe handling and disposal of gas, liquid and solid wastes\n\n\n * Manage engineering \u0026 design team of instrumentation, controls and life safety system for multiple projects of varying complexity\n * Take various levels of responsibility for, and participation in the development of, project scope, budget, and schedule\n * Provide technical direction to design engineers throughout the project conceptual design phase, interface with site user groups, other engineering disciplines, local municipalities and/or utilities, trade contractors, and other project stakeholders as required\n * Perform conceptual instrumentation and controls (I\u0026C) and Life Safety System analysis for multiple scenarios that can include high level schedule and/or budget development to help customers and stakeholders make critical business decisions based on time and cost constraints\n * Develop effective process design deliverables to support all aspects of conceptual design\n * Effectively interact with several internal engineering organizations to influence design standards, construction specifications, and operations requirements to ensure these enable construction to meet its Review and approve Chem Auth and MOC\n\n\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation\n\n * Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering\n * 7 years of semiconductor or high purity hazardous gas facilities management experience; or equivalent experience of more than 10 years of semiconductor gas facilities management\n\n\n\n \nAdditional qualifications include: \n\n * Working experience as a facilities engineer in semiconductor manufacturing (wafer fab) facilities a strong plus\n * Industrial gas and chemical delivery experience or equivalent\n * Gas abatement and wastewater treatment systems experience\n * Working knowledge of gas distribution system and PLC based controls systems\n * Knowledge of local Fire, Building and Environmental codes\n * Strong analytical skills and knowledge of SPC, 8D, DMAIC, FMEA and other tools\n * Excellent written and verbal communication skills\n\n\n\n## Qualifications\n\n### Education:\n\nBachelor\u0027s Degree (Required)\n\n### Skills\n\nGas Management, Gas Safety, Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)\n\n### Certifications:\n\n### Languages:\n\n### Years of Experience:\n\n7 - 10 Years\n\n### Work Experience:\n\n## Additional Information\n\n### \n\n### Shift:\n\n10-Day 8-Hr (United States of America)\n\n### \n\n### Travel:\n\nYes, 10% of the Time\n\n### \n\n### Relocation Eligible:\n\nYes\n\n### Referral Payment Plan:\n\nEmployee Referral (Standard)\n\nU.S. Salary Range:\n\n$133,500.00 - $183,500.00\n\nThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
