Job Description - Gas Marketing Analyst

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Gas Marketing Analyst to support our Commercial team in Morgantown, WV.

Location
This role is a hybrid position based out of our office in Morgantown, WV and will be expected work onsite in the office three days per week.

What You Will Be Doing:

Conduct in-depth market research and analysis related to oil and gas market fundamentals, regulatory changes, and industry trends.
Monitor and forecast revenue streams from oil, gas, and NGL sales, while concurrently tracking and projecting fees and expenses related to gathering, processing, and transportation.
Build and maintain system flow and utilization models.
Collaborate with the GIS team to ensure asset maps and schematics for commercial operations remain updated.
Oversee up-to-date records of all current marketing agreements.
Coordinate with the production and planning team to monitor production forecasts.
Assist the accounting team in executing month-end closing activities.

Your Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Energy, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of experience in commercial analysis, business analysis, or a related field within the oil and gas industry strongly preferred.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with vendors, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Working Conditions

Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary.
Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job.

Physical Requirements

Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
