Southern Illinois University School of Medicine seeks full-time faculty members with clinical interests and expertise in interventional gastroenterology, general gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel disease and hepatology. This full-time position involves the delivery of patient care and teaching in busy ambulatory and in-patient practice sites. The successful candidate will be expected to provide clinical, didactic and small group to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. An active clinical, translational or basic science research program is very desirable. Production based clinical compensation plus a generous guaranteed base salary provides a highly attractive total compensation package. Minimum Qualifications :

Graduate of accredited medical school program;
Graduate of formal specialty training program in Gastroenterology;
Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine or eligibility for ABIM; Diplomate of the American Board of Gastroenterology Medicine or eligibility for Gastroenterology Board; Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Illinois or eligible for such licensure. This position has been designated as security sensitive and employment is contingent upon the results of a background investigation. This position is sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.
Desired Qualification :

Proficiency in ERCP, EUS, motility or hepatology desirable.
