Gastroenterology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Exciting Challenge

An established gastroenterology practice in Orlando, FL is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role, Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-12pm. Candidates with gastroenterology experience will be considered first. 

Responsibilities:

• Full-time permanent position 
• In-office only 
• No hospital call
• 14-18 patients per day
• Examine, diagnose, and coordinate treatment plans for patients with acute illnesses and exacerbations of chronic disease (under the supervision of physicians)
• Order, interpret, and make diagnoses of lab tests and imaging scans
• Record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and modify treatment plans as needed
• Write/refill prescriptions appropriate for diagnosis
• Review patient results, including pathology
• Document patient information in eClinicalWorks in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• Active PA or NP Florida State License
• Knowledge of gastroenterology treatments and terminology
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Bilingual in (English/Spanish) preferred
