JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Physician – General Cardiology

• Job Type: Locum Tenens

• Location: Flagstaff, AZ

• Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital – Cardiovascular Institute

• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call

• Coverage Period: June 23, 2025 – December 23, 2025

• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

• On-Call Shift Schedule: 1–2 weekends per month

• Call Type: Rotational (weekend)

• Call Ratio: 1–2 weekends/month

• Patient Demographics: Primarily age 60+

• Patient Volume/Census: 16–20 patients/day

• Admissions: Yes

• Rounding: Yes

• Phone Consults: Yes

• Case Mix: General cardiology

FACILITY INFORMATION

• No. of Beds in Department: Hospital has 268 beds

• EMR System: Cerner

• Office Equipment Available: Standard cardiology diagnostics and treatment equipment

• Specialty Backup Available: 2 other cardiologists on staff

• Support Staff Available: Full hospital support team

• Reason for Coverage: Locum coverage for general cardiology need

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: AZ license or IMLC accepted

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS

• Experience: Minimum 2 years

• Other Qualifications: Board Certification in General Cardiology preferred; strong interpersonal skills required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide full-time general cardiology care in a hospital setting

• Manage 16–20 patients per day

• Participate in call rotation 1–2 weekends per month

• Collaborate with fellow cardiologists and hospital staff

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Cerner EMR
