General Counsel

Dhar Mann Studios, a leading Creator Economy company, is seeking a General Counsel to join our executive team and play a key role in driving our growth as we expand our company organically and through M&A activity.. This is a unique ground floor opportunity for an experienced corporate attorney with a strong background in both the media industry and investment transactions to shape the legal strategy of a fast-growing and innovative company.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee transaction processes including acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures.


• Engage with financiers and lenders to craft investment and lending documents.


• Evaluate, update and maintain corporate formation documents 


• Provide strategic legal guidance on new business ventures and financing opportunities.

• Negotiate and manage business and partnership agreements to ensure strategic collaborations align with company objectives.


• Mitigate risks while maximizing growth opportunities in partnerships and commercial transactions.

• Handle corporate governance, employment matters, compliance, and other legal needs.


• Manage outside counsel as necessary for specific projects.


• Develop and enforce policies that support business objectives while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• J.D. from a top law school and active bar membership, preferable in CA.


• 10+ years of legal experience, with a mix of top-tier law firm work and in-house experience.


• Extensive experience in media, entertainment, and investment transactions.


• Passion for the Creator Economy.


• Equity and Debt fundraising experience a plus.


• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage complex, high-value deals.


• Expertise in corporate governance, employment law, and regulatory compliance.


• Business-oriented mindset with the ability to balance legal risk with company objectives.


• Hands-on / in-the-weeds approach to help cost effectively scale a young growth company to the next stage.
