General Dermatology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

 Multi-site Dermatology Group Seeks Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Plainfield, Indiana

The Dermatology Center of Indiana is recruiting a General Dermatology Advanced Practitioner to join our growing dermatology and medical aesthetics group in Plainfield, IN. This position is open due to our relocation to a new office in Plainfield! You will be supported by exceptional practice managers, clinical support staff, and powerhouse back-office teams, allowing you to focus your time on providing great patient care. This position will be supervised by a full-time board-certified dermatologist.

 Responsibilities:

• Build and retain relationships with patients by treating every patient the way you’d want your friends and family to be treated


• Provide outstanding dermatology care to patients with a wide variety of skin care needs


• Determine appropriate course of treatment through listening to patient concerns and conducting physical examinations and biopsies


• Educate patients about their skin conditions, treatments, medications, and best practices for skin cancer prevention


• Develop expert knowledge of skin ailments, treatments, and products through shadowing providers, attending trainings, and seeking learning opportunities


• Frequently consult with physicians on appropriate treatments and protocols


• Refer patients to Mohs surgeon or other providers as needed


• Prescribe medications as necessary


• Record medical information and data in practice’s medical records system


• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment


• Fill in for other providers or float to other locations when needed

Qualifications:

• Dermatology experience required


• Excellent customer service skills and bedside manner


• Exceptional communication skills (verbal & written)


• Well organized, efficient, and able to operate in a busy work environment


• Passion for helping patients and providing great care


• Communicate with professionalism, honesty, and kindness


• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
