What You'll Do
The General Equipment Supervisor is a supervisory-level position that assists in overseeing all operational aspects of the Warehouse Department, which consists of tables, chairs, and cooking equipment. The General Equipment Supervisor places a strong emphasis on teamwork and works with employees in the Department to ensure that they are adhering to their schedules, performing the work that is assigned to them, and that all necessary work is performed in an excellent manner. This is a full-time position consisting of 40 hours weekly with typically one weekday off and one weekend day off. Hours from 10:00AM-6:30PM. This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and is located in Woburn, MA.
The Day-to-Day
Supervise the day to day operations of the Department
Train new employees on proper Departmental procedures
Conduct performance management of employees
Pack items that are needed for specific events
Coordinate employee break and lunch times
Assist in the creation of weekly employee schedules
Assign employees to tasks for the day
Ensure the fulfillment of daily orders
Collaborate with Managers and the Sales team to create and fill last-minute orders
Troubleshoot and resolve Departmental issues
Collaborate with Department Managers and Supervisors to create more efficient processes and procedures
Develop and maintain the necessary workforce to accomplish daily goals in a productive and efficient manner
Maintenance of the Department as needed
When work is conducted in public environment, professional and courteous interactions directly with customers and general public are required
Respectful interactions with multi-lingual team, internal customers, Leaders and clients
Follow and give direction to safely perform all tasks assigned
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What We're Looking For
Forklift experience required
Must pass drug test if operating any Peak Event Services vehicles
Must be able to report to work as scheduled
Must be willing to perform tasks as assigned in a safe and conscientious manner, respectful of co-workers, customer and Peak property
Must be able to work long days as necessary to complete work
Must be available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as part of regular schedule
Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 pounds
Must be able to work in team environment and be willing to follow the directions of the Department Manager
Must be professional in appearance and behavior
OSHA Certified preferred
