The General Foreman is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of electrical construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role entails managing crew members, coordinating with project teams, and serving as the primary point of contact on-site. The General Foreman plays a critical role in mentoring the workforce, optimizing productivity levels, and ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in electrical construction, demonstrated leadership skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
Field Leadership & Management
Supervise and manage daily operations on construction sites
Oversee field labor including apprentices, journeymen, and subcontractors
Enforce production schedules, quality assurance, and company protocols
Act as the primary on-site liaison between Project Management and field personnel
Safety & Compliance
Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to company safety policies
Conduct site safety meetings and enforce compliance with OSHA standards
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary
Technical & Quality Control
Interpret and execute from blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
Ensure work quality meets Enterprise Electrical’s high standards
Document daily activities, production levels, and work completed
Team Development
Provide training, mentoring, and career development for team members
Assist in managing crew performance and addressing challenges
Required Qualifications
5+ years of electrical construction experience, with a focus on foreman roles
Strong knowledge of NEC, local codes, and electrical safety practices
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret construction documents effectively
Experience with relevant technology and reporting tools
Valid driver’s license and ability to work in diverse environments
