General Foundry

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform assigned tasks and additional duties as directed by the supervisor.


• Maintain cleanliness of charge bucket pit, Bond Bin deck, around sort table area, and under knife gate.


• Must be able to operate wheelabrator.


• Must be able to maintain a steady pace of picking castings off the sort table.


• Move and handle castings, gates and cut off as directed.


• Must be able to determine the difference between good and defective casting.


• Must be able to operate cut-off saw in a safe manner.


• Follow all safety rules, procedures, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to bend, stoop, walk, climb stairs, and use hands/arms effectively.


• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. occasionally and perform frequent pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.

Qualifications:

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions.


• Knowledge of safety checkpoints and ability to follow safety procedures.


• Understanding of quality policy requirements.


• Ability to follow established tagging procedures.
