General Labor Line Worker

DESCRIPTION OF JOB SCOPE

General Labor Line Worker Worker is an employee in the production department. This role is member to our production team and is responsible to perform manual labor needed to process with the highest standards of food quality. The employee is required to notify any issues regarding food safety and general safety awareness.

Positions: Denesting, Lid placer, Box maker, Box closer, Tray sealer, Packer

DESCRIPTION OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Adhere to all Classic Salads Food Safety and GMP Policies, including Basic Policies (TRN-0101, TRN-102, TRN-103. TRN-104. TRN-105. TRN-1061.


2. Complete Classic Salads Standard Training Procedures


3. Use proper lifting and folding boxes techniques


4. Report all deficiencies to management.


5. Work overtime and weekends and holidays if necessary


6. Move product and/or materials manually as required


7. Report all injuries and incidents big or small.


8. Demonstrate attention to detail


9. Report any foreign objects while performing duties to immediate supervisor.


10. Communicate with management and/or other employees


11. Be conscious to reduce material spoilage.


12. Able to work in a cold wet environment 36-36 °F


13. Work/cross-train in other areas


14. Fold boxes continously 1 lb to 3 lbs


15. Lift bags continuously 2 oz to 4 Lbs


16. Stack boxes continuously 3 Lbs to 4 Lbs 5-6 boxes high


17. Keep work area clean


18. Rotate through all positions in the packing line


19. Lift finished product boxes continuously 3 lbs to 15 lbs


20. Stay in assigned work area


21. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): bump cap, hearing protection, hair net, beard net, eye protection (goggles), face shield, gloves, slip-resistant shoes, wet/rain suit, apron, etc.


22. Be aware of surroundings due to forklift traffic

EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience of work in a similar environment preferred. Able to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work with fast-changing priorities and keep up with workflow. Work in a team effort environment. Able to follow simple instructions.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED OF THE EMPLOYEE TO PERFORM THE JOB CONSTANTLY FOR 8 OR MORE HOURS

WALKING, STANDING, BENDING NECK, BENDING WAIST, SQUATTING, CLIMBING, TWISTING NECK, TWISTING WAIST, BOTH HANDS USE (SIMPLE GRASPING, POWER GRASPING, FINE MANIPULATION, PUSHING AND PULLING, REACHING BELOW AND ABOVE SHOULDER LEVEL)
